HyperMegaTech, the brand behind the Evercade retro gaming system, is back with more nostalgic gaming goodness. The company’s latest device, Super Pocket, is a retro-styled handheld that comes with multiple games already built in, depending on which edition you get.

The Super Pocket is available in two versions in tribute to two of the most iconic arcade games developer – TAITO, makers of Space Invaders, and Capcom, makers of the Street Fighter series.

The Super Pocket TAITO Edition features 17 built-in arcade games including Operation Wolf, the OG first-person shooter, Bubble Bobble, and – of course – Taito’s generation-defining title Space Invaders.

Meanwhile, the Super Pocket Capcom Edition comes equipped with 12 games from the Japanese gaming giant including the arcade hall classics Street Fighter II, Ghouls ‘n Ghosts and Final Fight, as well as the console version of Mega Man.

But that’s not all. HyperMegaTech has ported over the functionality of its Evercade system and the Super Pocket can use Evercade carts via a slot on the back (similar to that on a Game Boy), allowing users to play additional games they own on top of those already on the new system. Evercade’s game library has over 500 titles to choose from, making the Super Pocket an incredibly versatile option for those looking to game-on-the-go.

As hinted at in its name, the Super Pocket is small enough to be considered ultra portable and owing to its small size (it measures approximately 3” x 5” and is less than 1” thick) it should fit into most average pockets. It has a bright and colorful 320×280 pixel IPS screen, charges via USB-C, and has a 3.5mm jack for your wired headphones (there’s no Bluetooth connectivity).

Both the Super Pocket Capcom Edition and Super Pocket TAITO Edition are available now priced at £49 GBP / $59 USD at retailers worldwide.
