Ulysse Nardin Readies the New Classico Rabbit for Lunar New Year
Celebrating the Year of the Rabbit.
Ulysse Nardin is gearing up for the Lunar New Year with a brand new special-edition Classico timepiece, aptly named the New Classico Rabbit as inspired by the zodiac animal of the year.
The watchmaker utilizes the renowned Donzé Cadrans, its in-house enamel workshop, to craft the artistic timepiece using intricate, centuries-old champlevé and cloisonné enameling methods. The resulting dial is graced with a richly-colored scenery starring a pair of rabbits against a luscious sunset and mountainous landscape. Housed in a 40mm rose gold case that complements the warm-hued palette, tonal beads are incorporated in place of traditional hour markers, complete with a black alligator strap and rose gold buckle for an elegant touch.
When it comes to specifications, the New Classico Rabbit features a self-winding movement, powered by the Caliber UN-8152 for up to 42 hours of power reserve and 50 meters of water resistance.
The New Classico Rabbit is priced at $45,900 USD in a limited run of 88 pieces. For more information regarding release dates, keep an eye out on Ulysse Nardin’s website. In the meantime, you can take a closer look at the special-edition timepiece in the gallery above.
Elsewhere in watches, Blancpain releases the special-edition Fifty Fathoms 70th Anniversary Act 1 timepiece.
