The FTC Is Investigating McDonald’s Consistently Broken McFlurry Machines
Potentially thanks to orders from President Joe Biden.
According to reports, the Federal Trade Commission is now investigating McDonald’s consistently broken McFlurry machines. The agency has now contacted McDonald’s restaurant owners to provide information regarding their experiences with the machines that have been highlighted in memes and jokes online.
The inquiry is believed to have stemmed from President Joe Biden‘s orders back in July for the FTC to draft rules that empower consumers and businesses to repair their devices on their own. The order led to FTC passing a motion to formally re-evaluate unlawful repair restrictions. Additionally, Taylor, the company that produces McDonald’s McFlurry machines, is currently in legal trouble for preventing restaurants from repairing machines on their own and requiring maintenance from a certified Taylor technician.
It is important to note that the FTC investigation is not a formal prob at the moment, as no wrongdoing has surfaced. Stay tuned for more information as the story develops.
