Diadora Sends a Love Letter to Italy With the New Equipe Atomo Running Shoes
After more than 75 years in development, the Italian brand is set to unveil the lightweight running shoes to the world.
Keeping in step with Diadora’s tradition of mixing technology and craftsmanship, the brand has unveiled its latest performance running shoe made in Italy. Both lightweight and reactive, the shoe is an innovative take on the traditional running sneaker. With this drop Diadora pays homage to Italy and the design standards of the country.
Coming in both a women’s and men’s version — the former is white and the latter an “azzurri” blue — the shoe is inspired by the Italian flag with splashes of red, green and white. The lightweight silhouette serves as the ideal sneaker for both new and seasoned runners, weighing only 7.0oz for the women’s shoe and 8.80oz for the men’s. Additionally, it also carries distinct technology that provides the utmost comfort. Diadora packed a newly developed compound for the shoe’s midsole, aptly named the DD Anima (Italian for soul), that offers added cushioning and maximum reactivity.
The release of the Equipe Atomo’s plays a part in Diadora’s new campaign — Postcards From Italy— which celebrates the beauty of running and an excellent year in Italian sports. The shoe itself marks the return of Italian manufacturing for technical products and with the country’s flag decorating the sneaker’s sole it’s a reminder that will never be forgotten.
Dropping on November 30, at $195 USD, visit the official Diadora website or Instagram for release updates.
