New C.P. Company Collection Inspired by Future Landscapes
All-weather protection.
Massimo Osti’s cult-imprint C.P. Company looks to its innovative and extensive archive to revive its iconic Urban Protection collection. Initially launched in 1998, the garments are inspired by Moreno Ferrari and Massimo Osti’s shared passion for functionality and utilitarianism.
Providing technical practicality and groundbreaking innovation, the collection is comprised of items offering the necessary protection suitable for the urban environment. A standout piece from the original Urban Protection line was the ‘Metropolis Jacket’, which features a removable anti-smog face mask alongside design details such as a functional multi-pockets system.
Fast forward to 2020, C.P. Company restores the Metropolis Jacket and the Urban Protection range as a part of the NEXT LANDSCAPE FW020 collection. Developed by designer Paul Harvey, the concept represents a hopeful perspective for the future of urban environments, a green utopia of overgrown foliage where nature takes its course and grows back spontaneously amongst the architectural forms of a city.
The Urban Protection line incorporates C.P. Company’s instantly recognizable detachable badge throughout all the garments. Employing an array of high performances textiles such as Dyneema, GoreTex Xenia and Infinium, Taylon, and the brand’s timeless fabrics Pro-Tek and C.P. Shell. In partnership with digital designer Karol Sudolski the brand has handily created an Instagram filter, so you can preview how the coat looks now.
