Jonah Hill's '90s-Informed adidas Originals Samba Pack Is Almost Here
Coming in “Green Night/Mineral Green/Ecru Tint” and “Maroon/Noble Maroon/Ecru Tint.”
Back in July, Jonah Hill and adidas dropped the multidisciplinary’s take on the classic Superstar, and now the duo has recoupled for a pair of adidas Originals Samba sneakers.
The release of these two Sambas confirms earlier rumors that there would be three sneakers coming from Hill. Now, we get an official look at the pairs and get to know their release dates.
First up is the Samba in “Green Night/Mineral Green/Ecru Tint,” which channel the same aesthetic as his Superstars. Bright green branding that’s firstly hand-written and then translated onto the leather sneakers via embroidery appears on the lateral mid-panel next to the three stripes, while Hill’s initials have also been added onto the heel tab. The heel tab is stitched down using the same green thread.
A “Maroon/Noble Maroon/Ecru Tint” Samba is also releasing. Like the “Green Night” pair, this red offering is made from premium leather and suede, and is heavily informed by a ’90s non-conformist attitude, hence the hand-written branding. That branding appears in an orange tone this time around, as does the stitching, and sits alongside components such as thick red laces and a red rubber sole unit.
Both are finished with an insole that sports Jonah Hill’s signature tiger emblem in a tonal shade of green or red. The Jonah Hill x adidas Originals Samba in “Green Night/Mineral Green/Ecru Tint” and “Maroon/Noble Maroon/Ecru Tint” will release on adidas’ website on November 14, and will retail for £89.95 GBP (approx. $117 USD).
In other news, Prada’s adidas Superstars are now available.
