'One Piece' and 'Digimon Adventure' Suspended Amid Coronavirus
With no return date specified.

Despite having only debuted earlier this month, Digimon Adventure and the ongoing series One Piece are both being suspended indefinitely amid the coronavirus pandemic in Japan.
The announcement came from their animation studio Toei Animation, which posted the following on Twitter: “Due to the state of emergency in Japan caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, we have carefully considered the safety measures for the spread and have decided to suspend the simulcast and Japanese broadcasting of both One Piece and our new series, Digimon Adventure for the time being. Updates on the return of both series will be provided as soon as we know. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this time. Please stay safe and healthy.”
The news comes just two weeks after the launch of Digimon Adventure, a reboot of the original series from 1999, focusing on the first seven children to enter the Digital World. With more than 900 episodes under its belt, One Piece is also at a crucial moment as it makes its way through the second act of the Wano Country arc. As Toei Animation’s announcement says, there’s currently no information on when the two series will return, so fans should definitely stay tuned as more updates roll in.
