Denzel Curry and Kenny Beats Premiere New Songs via 'UNLOCKED' Animated Short Film
A journey through the internet to find out who leaked their new collaboration.
After connecting for the season one finale of The Cave last August, Kenny Beats and Denzel Curry return with their new UNLOCKED animated short film. The near half-hour visual was released following some alarming footage of Denzel threatening the producer via Instagram live and Twitter for apparently leaking an upcoming project.
What results is the pair trying to figure out how the internet got its hands on Denzel and Kenny’s new collaborative EP by zapping themselves into an animated alternate multiverse through a Back To The Future-era instrument that Kenny picked up at a Guitar Center in Guadalajara, Mexico. Denzel and Kenny hand-picked different animators to take them on their voyage for an [adult swim]-like rendition that’s as inventive as it is ambitious. The Jack Begert and Christian Sutton-directed short even has the duo try out some voice acting along the way.
