Netflix's Final 'The Dark Crystal' Trailer Sees Formation of the Resistance
Alongside the journey of the Gelflings to ignite the fires of rebellion.
The final trailer for Netflix’s The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance focuses on the plot of the upcoming series, which serves as a prequel to the Jim Henson 1982 film classic. The trailer above showcases the planet of Thra and its inhabitance of various creatures, however, as the title implies, resistance is on the horizon in the form of Gelflings Deet, Rian, and Brea.
Conspiracy on what happened the titular Dark Crystal, the source of the planet, disrupts the community. After they learn “the horrifying secret behind the Skeksis’ power, they set out on an epic journey to ignite the fires of rebellion and save their world,” according to Netflix.
The show’s initial cast stars Taron Egerton, Anya Taylor-Joy, and Nathalie Emmanuel with other talents, such as Mark Hamill, Simon Pegg, and more rounding out the secondary characters.
