Shygirl & Sega Bodega Showcase Experimental Prowess On New Cut "Uckers"
Alongside a ’60s horror-styled visual by Margot Bowman.
South East London singer/rapper and DJ and NUXXE co-founder Blane Muise, who goes by alter ego Shygirl, has returned with an off-kilter, horror-esque visual for her latest Sega Bodega-produced single “Uckers.” The track is the first in a series of new material that the producer will be releasing over the next few months, which will see a range of collaborations alongside producers, fashion designers, photographers, rappers, and more.
The track itself relishes in a dancehall-esque beat that’s been infused with Bodega’s experimental soundscapes — the most noticeable of the production is the eerie scream that’s been placed throughout. Shygirl stays true to her signature flow, rapping over the track in a drill-like manner. The black and white video, directed by Margot Bowman, helps in delivering the idiosyncratic track, with up-close shots of the artist wearing a variety of outfits, intercut with edits of old horror films.
