Lenovo's Thinkpad X1 Foldable Laptop Prototype Takes Aim at Competitors

Earlier this year we saw an increased emphasis on foldable tech. With Samsung’s Galaxy Fold and Huawei’s Mate X arguably the most hyped new technology of 2019, it seems Lenovo has taken note of the new tech trend, replicating a similar concept within its latest Thinkpad X1 prototype.
In a new video by The Verge, the new tech is showcased in all its glory. Meant to rival Apple’s line of MacBook’s, the new foldable tech totes a tablet-like design t hat utilizes a hinge within the center of the screen, allowing for the device to be held like a book or folded and placed on a flat surface to provide a traditional notebook experience. The exterior of the new prototype totes a moleskin exterior, which gives it a unique book-esque feel. Finishing off the initial prototype is a stylus, which allows for more tablet-styled experiences and services.
