Quavo is Unhappy With DJ Drama for Not Including Migos On List of Influential Atlanta Rap Acts
“We think that’s kind of disrespectful, my up north brother.”

DJ Drama recently sat down with Power 105‘s The Breakfast Club and spoke on a variety of topics. One of the things he talked about was Atlanta’s influence in the rap game. Drama said, “I think dominantly, Atlanta has had one of the strongest runs in hip hop. I mean, what are we going on? 24, 25 years? Like for real, when can you name a moment in the last dub at least where Atlanta hasn’t been dominant? [...] Ringtone rap is definitely Atlanta’s fault. If we take the OutKast’s, the Ludacris’s, the T.I.’s, the Jeezy’s, and the Gucci’s, and the Future’s, and the Chainz’s, and the Thug’s, you know, it’s in a good place.” Quavo of the Migos noticed that the Gwinnett County trio was not listed, and took to Twitter to direct his displeasure at the Philly DJ. “How [dare] you mention Atlanta rap culture and not mention Migos? We think that’s kind of disrespectful, my up north brother.” Check out their back-and-forth below.
