Kanye West to Perform at 2010 BET Awards

It has been more than ten months since we last experienced Kanye West on TV screens. The popular artist hasn’t graced an award show stage since the unfortunate Taylor Swift incident at last year’s MTV Video Music Awards. Luckily, his absence in public is about to be terminated as he has been added as a performer for the BET Awards ’10.

The network announced today that the charismatic rapper will take the stage for “a dynamic comeback performance.” This will be his first major awards show appearance since last year’s memorable MTV Video Music Awards.
It has not been revealed what he will perform, but chances are that Mr West will perform his new single “Power” featuring Dwele. However, this would not be his first performance of the song as Kanye held a little private concert for Chicago high school students this week.

The BET Awards ’10 airs live Sunday, June 27, at 8 p.m. EST from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.
