Anton Lisin Showcases a Religious Fall/Winter 2018 Collection
The burgeoning model-turned-designer branches out.

Anton Lisin unveiled his latest collection at a museum within the Russian Orthodox capital Sergiev Posad. An unlikely setting for a runway at first glance, but heavy references to Russian folklore and religious motifs on the clothing and accessories were fittingly juxtaposed against stained glass windows and Christian relics. The designs also represented trends of current youth culture, infusing bold graphics with Cyrillic letters, accented by hints of plush velvet. Avdotya Alexandrova, founder of the LUMPEN agency, cast and directed the show, which was purposely set apart from Moscow Fashion Week as a statement of the label’s independent spirit.
The model and frequent Gosha Rubchinskiy collaborator has been steadily coming into his own as a designer following his 2017 Autumn/Winter campaign ‘The Blind Guide The Blind.’ His newest collection titled “The Shining,” includes an assemblage of monk-inspired long hoodies, oversized coats, side-stripe track pants and dystopic graphics, covered in swaths of black, white and red hues.
