Macaulay Culkin Relives His 'Home Alone' Experience in Latest Google Assistant Ad
Replacing Michael Jordan’s cutout with Kevin Durant.
Macaulay Culkin hits the internet again, this time with a big budget video advertisement for Google Assistant. Coming out as we approach the holidays, a time when Culkin’s hit ’90s Christmas film is sure to make its way onto your television screen, Google has recreated scenes of Home Alone, but with a twist.
Fast forward to today, the advertisement takes the now-adult Macaulay Culkin through the same famous scenes in the movie, but with the help of Googles technology. The video goes on to show how Google Assistant helps with online shopping, bill payments, reminders, and home control. In true nostalgic fashion, the video ends with Macaulay Culkin initiating “Operation Kevin (Mccallister)” to eventually thwart-off the Wet Bandits from entering his home. Many who grew up watching the Home Alone series will appreciate this blast from the past, and Macaulay Culkin’s entrance back into the public eye.
