Last night, Kendrick Lamar connected with American Express to put on a “secret show” for Brooklyn concertgoers. During Kendrick Lamar’s performance, the TDE rapper allowed some fans to come up to the stage to flex their own skills on the mic. While there were some less-than-enthusiastic reactions to some of the bars being delivered, one freestyle in particular has grabbed the hold of the internet’s attention. NYC underground emcee Kemba stole the show when he hopped onstage alongside Lamar, garnering both approval from the event’s star and the packed venue’s denizens.

You can check out official footage of Kendrick Lamar’s Brooklyn show for American Express — thanks to the event’s Facebook Live stream — above. The fan-freestyle session begins around the 22-minute mark. For more from Kemba, head on over to the Bronx rapper’s SoundCloud.
