ECCO Links up With Studio Hagel for a Limited Collection
Turning functionality inside out.
Taking note of the recent techwear trend, Mathieu Hagelaar’s Studio Hagel has teamed up with ECCO to create a unique 18-shoe collection that successfully turns functionality inside out.
The “UTW63716” collection incorporates 18 new sneakers and hopes to explore the concept of functionality in a different light. The varying offerings employ a plethora of nonfunctional covers, un-pullable pull-tags, bottomless pockets, ornamental zippers and lacings atop unusual patterns and fluorescent colors. The experimental collection incorporates ECCO’s signature direct injection, state-change Fluidform™ comfort technology. A one-of-a-kind leather library was also developed and incorporated, such as ECCO Leather’s new Neo material, a newly researched and designed leather bonded with Dyneema®.
The new collection is limited to 24 pairs in each style and can be purchased online via ECCO’s experimental web store W21.
