Wu-Tang Clan Sue Dog-Walking Company Woof-Tang Clan for Copyright Breach
Ain’t nothing to f*ck with.

A dog-walking company, branded the Woof-Tang Clan, is facing a lawsuit from legendary hip-hop group Wu-Tang Clan for copyright infringement. The canine catering company, that claims to walk “the illest group of dogs in New York City,” has been slapped with a suit from the RZA – claiming it has violated multiple trademarks founded years ago.
In the court papers, RZA stated that the Wu-Tang Clan’s name and logo were “unmistakably associated” with the Brooklyn-based company, and that is “likely to cause confusion, cause mistake, or to deceive consumers.” Marty Cuatchon, the owner of the company, has told the New York Daily News that he was aware of the suit but that there had been no attempt at deception and he was just a “fan” who thought it “was a good idea.” T-shirts that portrayed dogs on classic hip-hop album covers by Wu-Tang member Ol Dirty Bastard have since been removed from the company’s online store.
Keeping with the Clan and affiliated merch, Wu Wear returns after nearly a decade with a Holiday 2017 collection.
