Pharrell Co-Signed Artist Maggie Rogers Shares “Alaska” Music Video
The song that made Skateboard P tear up now has a visual.
[gallery columns="3"]Maggie Rogers’ song “Alaska” went viral this summer after a video of a teary-eyed Pharrell praising the song surfaced online. Rogers was a student at NYU’s Clive Davis Institute and was taking part in a workshop hosted by Skateboard P. Pharrell was stunned the first time he heard the indie pop track and said that the experience was comparable to when he heard Wu-Tang Clan for the first time.
Now, the official music video of the song has arrived. Directed by Zia Anger, who has done work for Jenny Hval, Mitski, and Angel Olsen, the visual finds Rogers and friends/backup dancers getting jiggy in the woods. Watch it above and stay tuned for more from the young songstress.
