Watch Travis Scott Discuss the Importance of Mental Health and His Favorite Collaborations
La Flame talks about furthering his levels of creativity.
Superstar producer and rapper Travis Scott has been all over the map lately, from world record breaking performances to preparing for the release of his third studio album Astroworld. While the Houston native prides himself on keeping busy, Scott stopped by SHOWstudio for an interview with Lou Stoppard where he talked about dealing with life’s frustrations and how to recover from any setback.
“I would say that I’m in a way better spot than I was maybe five years ago,” says Scott. “I guess some frustrations transition to other frustrations, but it’s a better frustration. I don’t know if that makes sense but sometimes in life that may seem annoying and frustrate you the most. You may hit a point in your life where you might excel and things might be going good, but then you’re always trying to achieve the next goal that brings you another frustration.”
Scott goes on to talk about how he overcomes stress and continues to put out the best music he can, something he says is still a work in progress.
“I’m still trying to find a balance between the real me and my outer shell. I feel like it’s been something that’s been misunderstood and I feel like I’m just very ambitious and driven to go somewhere with architecture and design and just a super high level of creativity and hit that level.”
Scott also shared with Stoppard which artists he enjoys collaborating with the most. “There are a couple of collaborations that are very important. Beyoncé, Bon Jovi.” Stoppard also asked Scott if there was a collaboration he ever regretted doing, to which told her he hasn’t “Made that mistake yet.”
