Watch the Explosive 'American Assassin' Teaser Trailer

Lionsgate and CBS Films have just launched the first official teaser for the upcoming American Assassin motion picture. Based on the late Vince Flynn’s bestselling novel of the same name and directed by Michael Cuesta, the film centers upon a young counterterrorist operative named Mitch Rapp (played by Teen Wolf actor Dylan O’Brien). The two-minute clip starts off with Rapp, who is about to propose to his girlfriend during a tropical getaway, but everything turns for the worst when plainclothes gunmen start shooting civilians on the beach, including the protagonist’s bride-to-be.
The video then introduces Cold War Veteran Stan Hurley (Michael Keaton), who brutally trains Rapp to join the black ops to combat terrorists. All in all, the teaser will have your heart racing with its intense sequences. Watch the clip above and look out for American Assassin to hit theaters on September 15.
