McLaren's 720S Is Already Getting the Special Operations Treatment
Meet MSO’s “Velocity” edition of the hypercar.

McLaren may have just given the 720S a grand unveiling, but the long-awaited followup to the 650S is already getting the British manufacturer’s Special Operations (MSO) treatment. Seen here in its “Velocity” make-up, the special MSO release sports two hues of pearlescent red paint in ombré fashion, fading from a newly developed shade — dubbed “Nerello Red” at the front to a brighter “Volcano Red” at the rear. The exterior paint job is joined by other bespoke additions like bronze alloy wheels and a combination of glossy and satin carbon fiber applications. Inside, black alcantara is contrasted with red highlights throughout.
Just one of five upcoming MSO themes for the vehicle (alongside GT, Pacific, Track and Stealth), the 720S “Velocity” is expected to cost around $407,800 USD.
