Playing 'Portal' in Augmented Reality Looks Insane
The future of gaming.
One of the biggest games last year, Pokemon Go, introduced the world to augmented reality. Now, developers are trying to create the next big game taking advantage of such technology. Developer Kenny W., who regularly shares AR-based projects on his YouTube channel, just shared a stunning video of what it would be like to play Portal in augmented reality. Utilizing Microsoft’s Hololens, the demo features a companion cube that you can throw into teleports that you draw around your home. The cube will recognize objects and surfaces and actually bounce off of them. Check out the video above and let us know what you think.
