3000.systems' 2017 Fall/Winter Collection References Neo-Tokyo, 'Akira' & Kurt Cobain
Youthful and functional staples meet modern performance.
Since its establishment last year, fledgling design studio 3000.systems has emphasized “a product-driven vocabulary of innovative, practical and industrial garments that feel modern and accessible” and an “approach to design and process merges utilitarian ideals with high quality fabrics, craftsmanship, cut and construction.” Naturally, the label’s third collection of menswear is the perfect example of its ethos. Everything from Kurt Cobain to the Neo-Tokyo of Akira is referenced as youth and functionality meet contemporary performance. The results are chock full of workwear and uniform-inspired classics in hues like forest green, midnight blue, khaki and crimson, all of which boast technical fabrics such as Ventile, British gabardine, poly polar fleece, waxed cotton and airy linen.
