NFL Films Produces Two Mockumentaries on Rod "Show Me the Money" Tidwell and Frank Cushman
Celebrating the 20th anniversary of ‘Jerry Maguire.’
Jerry Maguire hit theaters back on December 13, 1996, and to celebrate the film’s 20th anniversary, the NFL has produced two short mockumentaries highlighting the what-if careers of Rod Tidwell and Frank Cushman. For those that are unfamiliar with the film or need a refresher, sports agent Jerry Maguire (played by Tom Cruise) is down to his last client, Rod Tidwell (played by Cuba Gooding, Jr.), and must do everything in his power to keep him happy, or rather show him the money. The film ends with Rod getting the money he wanted, however we never find out what happened next: Did Rod meet the expectations of his contract? Did Jerry continue on as a sports agent? What happened to rookie sensation Frank Cushman? Did little Ray follow in the footsteps of his mom’s boyfriend? Well all of those questions and more were answered in the below parodies, which also feature Hall of Fame footballers, Aries Spears, Jay Mohr, Jonathan Lipnicki, Beau Bridges, Roy Firestone and many more.
