Supernatural slasher film series Child’s Play is returning this year to bring back everyone’s favorite serial killer doll Chucky. The seventh installment of the cult franchise, titled Cult of Chucky, will begin production on January 9 and is expected to release this fall. The narrative continues where 2013’s Curse of Chucky ended, with Nica Pierce locked up in an insane asylum. The forthcoming Chucky film is written and directed by creator Don Mancini and produced by David Kirschner. Fans will be glad to hear that veterans Brad Dourif, Alex Vincent and Jennifer Tilly will be voicing their original roles. Watch the new trailer for Cult of Chucky above.
