adidas Relaunches the 83-C Sportswear Collection in New Short Film "Saturday Night & Sunday Morning"

From the minds behind football-fanatic publication Mundial Magazine comes a short film showcasing adidas’s relaunch of the 83-C sportswear collection as well as two exclusive colorways of the Jeans MkII silhouette for Scotts Menswear. Inspired by the iconic British New Wave movie Saturday Night and Sunday Morning and shot on location in Liverpool, the campaign explores traditional tropes of British working class culture.
Styled to resemble the football terraces and estates of Northern Britain, the 83-C collection makes it’s return after a 15-year hiatus. Said to have been developed when adidas designers discovered a track jacket with 83-C hand-embroidered on the chest and J. Mano on the sleeve during a thrift store buying trip, it was later discovered that the mysterious top belong to a humble mechanic from Mexico who changed the tires at a racetrack called 83-C. The rejuvenated range paints track tops, pants, sweats and tees in a navy and red colorway.
The two Scotts Menswear-exclusive colorways of the Jeans MkII silhouette appear in green and blue hues, with translucent gum outsoles and suede uppers.
