Former Milan Factory Gets Converted Into Spacious "Base" for Culture and Creativity
With the aim of hosting multiple creative scenarios.

Milan-based creative company Onsitestudio, who prides themselves with the notion that it “aims to combine a research based activity and academic practice with a strong professional completeness,” has managed to convert an old factory – the Ansaldo space – into their own hub for creativity and culture. Dubbed the “BASE,” the open-design space aims at hosting multiple creative scenarios, programs and activities. While its mission is definitely noteworthy, it’s more the architectural feat that has caught our eye. The design makes great use of the ex-factory’s space, with tones and moods set through the use of materials and surfaces such as exposed brick, metal, wood and concrete. While none of that is groundbreaking in terms of interior design, Onsitestudio‘s work is still impressive to say the least. Check out the space in the gallery above, and make sure you pay a visit if you find yourself in Milan.
