Gucci Takes to the Vibrant Streets of Tokyo in 2016 Fall/Winter Campaign Video
Shibui – Old School Cool.
Following last season’s adventures through a ’70s Berlin, Gucci takes its vintage stylings out for a colorful night in Tokyo. The video comes as another successful collaboration between Gucci creative director Alessandro Michele and photographer Glen Luchford who was one of the first photographers to collaborate with Kate Moss. The visual takes us through a quirky night spent in a pachinko parlor and driving an excessively ornate truck or “Dekotora.” The scenes are overlayed with subtitles reminiscent of Tumblr, boasting auditory cues and bold statements like “I don’t believe in chance.” Scored to a low-fi atmospheric tune performed by Black Marble, the entire visual can be seen above.
