A Look Inside RIPNDIP's NYC Pop-Up Shop
Another extraterrestrial-themed space from the Los Angeles-based outfit.
Florida-born, Los Angeles-based RIPNDIP has come a long way since it was established back in 2009. Now a full-fledged clothing brand, the fun-loving imprint has followed up March’s successful pop-up in the City of Angels with a venture in the Big Apple. Setting up shop in the WALLPLAY POP-UP space on Orchard Street on the edge of the Bowery, RIPNDIP’s venture sees LORD NERMAL and the WE OUT HERE mascot come to life as they play host to the brand’s Spring/Summer 2016 collection, a bevy of in-store exclusives, a neon-lit extraterrestrial stairwell, a larger than life representation of Frida Kahlo, and a second-floor gallery.
Packed full of nods to skate mecca Tompkins Square Park and home to a cat-coddling, bird-flipping Virgin Mary, RIPNDIP’s NYC pop-up is open daily from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. EDT through May 28.
