'Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare' Is Returning to Its Large-Scale War Roots
Coming this November.
Hot on the heels of this weekend’s teaser comes a full reveal for Infinity Ward’s latest entry in the Call of Duty franchise, Infinite Warfare. Following last year’s Black Ops III and marking the first Infinity Ward-developed CoD game since 2013’s Ghosts, Infinite Warfare takes on the franchise’s most futuristic setting yet as players take on the role of a pilot for one of Earth’s last warships. Billed as a return “to the roots of the franchise where large-scale war and cinematic, immersive military storytelling take center stage,” the game will take players from Earth to outer space as they fight against the Settlement Defense Front “to defend our very way of life.”
Infinite Warfare drops November 4 while those who pre-order the Legacy Edition or Digital Deluxe Edition of the game will be treated to an added bonus: a remastered version of 2007’s Modern Warfare, one of the most critically-acclaimed first-person shooters of all-time.
