DJI just unveiled two new products aimed at big budget productions out of Hollywood. On hand to announce the device was Claudio Miranda, the Academy Award-winning director of photography who helmed Life of Pi. Named the Matrice 600, the drone is a $5,000 USD device with a long list of impressive specifications. It’s capable of streaming in 1080p at 60 frames per second at a distance of up to three miles, and is also equipped with a flight controller which is available with three GPS units and three IMUs — all allowing it to precisely determine its position making it possible to accurately repeat a flight path for those pesky reshoots. Available now, learn more about the device in the video above.
