Do You Have What It Takes to Become an Astronaut?
From physical tests to taste tests.
A few months ago, NASA put out the call to the American public, searching for individuals interested in becoming the next generation of astronauts. Of course, there are several things one would need before applying (a four-year science degree for example), however despite these academic roadblocks, WIRED sent out Brent Rose to crash the Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas to see if he had what it took to blast off into the sky. Tests ranged from physical challenges to seeing whether or not he could stomach the food served on the ISS (International Space Station). Check out the video above.
