Subtle futurism from the Scandinavian brand.

Scandinavian streetwear brand Wood Wood‘s 2016 fall/winter collection is titled “Connected” and it’s all about life in the digital era, with references to our constantly-online status abutting subtle nods toward futurist thinkers Ray Kurzweil and Marshall Mcluhan. Color-blocking and clashing patterns represent the ever-converging streams of information that modern man must deal with on the daily. As always, modern streetwear sensibilities are combined with a respectful eye for the past throughout with references to ’60s and ’70s suiting playing off of contemporary aesthetics and cuts to reflect modernity’s clashing ideas of style and culture. Standout pieces in the men’s collection include a sherpa fleece jacket, cropped cords and a cognac-colored leather flight jacket, while the collection also features a shiny burgundy slip-on throughout. As always, the collection’s release is separated into Street Basics and Contemporary Fashion segments, so stay tuned for further release and stockist information as it becomes available.
