Michael Jordan has many iconic moments in his career, but one of the most reproduced and retransmitted images of the GOAT actually came post-retirement, namely his Hall of Fame inauguration. Chances are you’ve seen Crying Jordan Face (or some form of it) on one of your social media timelines by now; for sports fans, media and athletes alike, the meme is all but inescapable. The good folks over at STASHED decided it was time to delve into the phenomenon’s origins and impact in the first Behind The Meme mini-documentary. They did so by traveling to Toronto for All-Star Weekend and grilling NBA superstars on the meaning and significance of the viral image macro.
