Ferrari Just Sold Its 500th LaFerrari for Millions, All Proceeds to Charity
Much respect to Ferrari.

The Ferrari LaFerrari is such a marvel of engineering and technical beast that its name literally means “The Ferrari.” The Italian car manufacturer made 499 of these, each retailing for nearly $1.5 million USD. The 500th was built to be part of the company collection but has just been auctioned off for $7 million USD becoming the most expensive 21st century car sold at auction. The final specimen features a unique Rossa Corsa paint job with a white “dream line” on its hood and rear windshield along with Italian tricolor on the nose.
Ferrari teamed up with RM Sotheby’s and the National Italian American Foundation’s Earthquake Relief Fund to set up this charity auction. All proceeds will go towards reconstruction efforts in central Italy, ravaged by earthquakes in August and October. Much respect to Ferrari for helping the people of their country.
