On making new music
“I’m working on a lot of music, and a lot of individual projects right now. But my focus is eventually getting out of this trilogy of music that would be #10Day and Acid Rap and third mixtape. And eventually get to a place where, you know, like I said stand on top of something and look around and be like this is what I do. I’m not just rapping to rap. This is what I do.”On major labels
“I have complete control over my music—the same way that I did when I was in high school. I make what I want to make, when I want to make it, with who I want to make it with. In the end, I still own 100 percent of what I created. Anything that comes from my mind, I get all my deal points from it. I think just the understanding of giving up that same integral piece of the pie to anybody, whether they’re a huge label or an indie label. Or it’s just a distribution deal or just a publishing deal. Giving up that piece is difficult for me.”
