Watch Your Favorite 'Star Wars' Characters Die in 8-Bit

Warning: the following post (and above video) contains spoilers. If you’re vaguely familiar with the Star Wars franchise, you’ll know that a lot of people die. In a quirky new video released by animation studio PipocaVFX, the extensive list of galactic deaths is reimagined in 8-bit form. From Qui-Gon Jinn to Obi-Wan Kenobi to Shmi Skywalker, the resulting tableaux are an odd combination of morbid reenactment and nostalgic entertainment. The latter is underscored by the arcade-like variation of “The Imperial March,” perhaps more commonly known as Darth Vader’s theme song.
