A Visual Recap of the 2015 Unexpected Art Festival
Reinvigorating the city’s historic downtown core.
Fort Smith, Arkansas played host to the first ever Unexpected Art Festival earlier in the month in which the likes of VHILS, D*Face, Askew and ROA among others spent just over a week in the downtown area painting 12 new murals. Formerly a real Western town, the streets where the legendary heroes and outlaws such as the Jesse James Gang and Billy the Kid used to roam around, were transformed into a historic canvas. Organized by 64.6 Downtown and curated by JUSTKIDS, vibrant colors, spectacularly portraits and even Western-inspired murals now decorate the city’s reinvigorated core which will surely attract art enthusiasts from all around the country. Check out some of the murals from the event above and head over to its website for more information.
