adidas’ skateboarding imprint reinterprets the Superstar.
adidas made an example out of the Superstar this year, but curiously left the silhouette to a singular collaboration on the skateboarding front. Here the brand’s skate imprint surprises audiences with a dope new iteration of the sneaker: the Superstar Vulc ADV. Following in the footsteps of the Superstar Vulc from the imprint’s early days, this classic update features the same clean vulcanized outsole, but with vastly improved foot protection. This is delivered courtesy of the ADIPRENE+ insole embedded at the interior – previously debuted on the Suciu ADV – which adds a thick layer of cushioning without sacrificing boardfeel. At the exterior, this launch colorway finds the silhouette done with black suede at the outsole and gold stripes at the midfoot.
