Jimmy Fallon’s charmingly silly lip syncing segments have become the stuff of comic lore at this point, undiscerning to put actors and entertainers in a common ground of ridiculousness. Here we find Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation star Tom Cruise taking the reigns in the contest, putting his spin on songs by Meatloaf and, surprisingly, The Weeknd. At the end of the day: the man is an entertainer, and has proven his lip syncing chops some 32 years ago in a certain iconic scene. Here, Cruise applies some vintage charm to some of his favorites, showing that he’s still got it for the next generation.
