Buy Buttons Are Coming to Google Search
The tech giant announces Purchase on Google.

Soon you’ll be able to make purchases directly from Google’s ubiquitous search engine. Today the tech giant announced that buy buttons will begin rolling out to applicable search results over the next few weeks. Simply dubbed Purchase on Google, the feature, according to Business Insider, is pretty straightforward: “When an advertisement for a product appears in search results, you’ll be able to click on that product and select the checkout option if you want to buy it.” In order to maintain the retailer’s usual relationship with the customer, users will be directed to a microsite within Google itself that has both “the look and feel of that particular retailer. From there, you can choose to buy the product, or search for another product from that retailer if the specific item you want isn’t shown.”
Purchase on Google currently has a stable of about a dozen retailers and, if successful, will expand in the near future.
