Another clip has hit the internet just days before the Amy Winehouse documentary, Amy, hits U.S. theaters (NYC and LA) this Friday, July 10. We’ve seen all different sides of Amy in these weeks leading up to the doc’s release. Today’s clip features her recording “Back to Black” with Mark Ronson. This is quite possibly the most recognizable and chilling piece of footage we’ve seen thus far as Ronson speaks on how she wrote the song in melody in only a few hours, and we see here in the booth laying it down.

“It was just one of those serendipitous things—I just caught her at that magic moment,” says Ronson. “She was just ready to get it going, that’s why I couldn’t understand what everyone else was saying about this procrastinating, troubled artist.”
