Only a few days left until XXL‘s Freshman 2015 magazine is available and more of the freshman class’ freestyles are being released. Today, we get unsigned, DMV rapper, Goldlink‘s socially conscious verse. On being selected for the list, he said:
“I feel good. It’s cool. It’s prolific, it’s surreal. I didn’t even rap [growing up]. I didn’t even know there was a cover until like three years ago, you know? But I never would have thought [I’d make it]. I never thought about it, but when I was asked, I was like, ‘Yo, this is an opportunity and I never thought about that.’ So I was like, ‘Alright,’ you know.”
