Netflix Is Now Showing Advertisements

Maybe it’s about time, but unfortunately Netflix is currently testing out advertisements that show through its streaming service. The advertisements will run before and after a user watches a video, but it has yet to be seen whether the service will roll out ads on a wider scale. Currently, the ads will only pitch Netflix’s own original content — so trailers for shows such as Orange Is the New Black or House of Cards. However, it is worth noting that Netflix hasn’t shown ads so far, and is currently not looking to sell ads to third parties.
