Hann - New Locks

“New Locks” is a high-energy excursion into the evolving sound of Litefeet — an underground dance culture birthed in the streets of New York City. The phrase “Lock To The Top” which is chanted throughout the track is a reference to ‘Locking in’, a move native to the music’s accompanying dance style where performers administer an emphatic movement at the end of a series of steps to complete the combination. To employ metaphor, if a series of steps was a sentence, ‘Lockin’ in’ is the exclamation point at its closure that enlivens the tone of the statement. “New Locks” is the first release off of Hann‘s upcoming EP Unknown Genre, a project which aims to showcase a nuanced sound of Litefeet music.
