GoPro continues to strengthen its hold on the entry-level camera market, introducing a new version of its hallmark HERO+ model with technology that rivals contemporary best-sellers. We’re referring to the freshly dropped HERO+ LCD, which features a touchscreen at the body for increased quality control. While the device isn’t necessarily a breakthrough in new technologies for the company – the HERO+ LCD features 1080p60 recording capabilities as opposed to the 4k resolution on higher-end models – it represents one of the higher bang-for-buck ratios on the market. Per usual, the camera makes use of Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity for near-instant sharing and editing, which works in conjunct with an accompanying GoPro remote app. Offered at just $299, consider the GoPro HERO+ LCD when it releases online June 7.
