It’s an often executed tactic by musicians to bring out guests during a set to liven up their performance — and even more so when they are in their hometown — which is exactly what Chromeo did during their set at Governors Ball this past Friday. The duo brought out New York City’s own Ezra Koenig of the Vampire Weekend, who collectively performed two songs from each other’s catalog. Following a poorly acted exchange between Koenig and Macklovitch, the group played “Caped Cod Kwassa Kwassa” from Vampire Weekend’s self-titled debut, before transitioning into Chromeo’s “Bonafide Lovin’ (Tough Guys)” off Fancy Footwork. Enjoy the footage of the performance above.
