Prior to VCSO‘s lauded VSCO Cam application for photo editing, the company began with producing film packs for digital photography editing. Back in 2011, its first film pack was launched with the desire to honor and preserve the features of analog film while bridging the divide between real film and digital. Each VSCO Film for desktop offers presets emulating specific film types, offering choice and selection for the editor while providing style and heritage. And since 2011, the company has come a long way, and is now offering its first free VSCO Film starter pack. It includes two of the most popular digital emulations of analog film — the Kodak Gold 100 from Film 05 and Kodak TRI-X from Film 06). The pack, called “Film 00” is available now and perfect for those looking to expand their VSCO editing from mobile to the desktop with added flexibility in editing, such as a more dynamic range and color control, with camera profiles for increased accuracy. Check out the pack at VSCO’s website here.
