In urban life, it’s easy to feel helplessly enclosed by the landscape of skyscrapers, neon lights, and population. In an imaginative twist on this feeling, Chicago-based artist Reuben Wu offers up three photo sets – An Uncommon Place, Cross Country and XI – all of which assert epic, psychedelic natural landscapes tinged with urban motifs. These expansive visuals are tinted in Wu’s color palette, which uses pastel greens, pinks, yellows, and blues to create surreal compositions.
